Working with the Christchurch and Boscombe & Southbourne Rotary Clubs, Gerry launched the Christchurch River Pageant in 2025 to raise money for three local charities:- Hengistbury Head Outdoor Activity Centre, Pink Champagne and the Bourne Water Dragon Cancer Survivor charities.

The parade on the Stour river took place from Tuckton Bridge to the Town Quay on Saturday 16th August as part of the Christchurch Carnival.

The pageant featured a variety of river craft highlighting the history of the town with a parade of decorative floats, boats, SUPs, canoes, kayaks and other watercraft, finishing with a team dragon boat demonstration by the Pink Champagne and Bourne Water Dragons.

The event was very well attended with hundreds of people watching the pageant parade from either side of the river and over £2500 was raised for the three charities.
